Materials and Resources for research
1. Service definition
The service offers basic and fundamental support to the center’s research staff, supplying the necessary clean and sterile material, as well as the culture media and solutions required by the research groups.
2. Offered services
In our cleaning rooms we proceed to wash the contaminated material previously collected from the laboratories. Subsequently, it is dried in ovens at 60ºC or sterilized in humid steam autoclaves. The service maintains the stock of clean and/or sterile material in the laboratories. It also manages the disposal of some of the waste generated by the research groups.
Preparation of culture media for bacteria, for C. elegans and for Drosophila melanogaster (maintenance of collections, crosses and experiments of both species). The service also covers the demand for solutions such as buffers, EDTA, PFA, SDS 10% among others.
